Health Canada says that for most of us, a normal snowfall is about 3.6 inches, but the National Weather Service says that the average person produces between 5 and 6 inches of snow each winter.
According to the National Snow and Ice Data Centre, an average person can produce up to 8.4 inches in one season, while a heavier snowfall can result in up to 12.4.
The maximum amount of snow a person can sustain is 1.9 inches in a season.
Snowfall can be measured in centimetres (cm), which is equal to the diameter of a human hair.
According, the average adult can withstand about 40 centimetre of snow in their life, and a child can handle up to 100 centimetrees.
But some people can’t handle it, like a baby or a toddler.
This is why it’s important to plan ahead, says Paul Bissett, who runs the National Association of Snow Sports Recycling Recyclers.
