‘No-one is safe’ in snowstorm: New Delhi

A few kilometres away, a woman who did not want to be named, said her home was completely flooded with snow.

Her home in Bijnore district in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh was also completely submerged.

My husband and I are worried too,” she said.

“All of us are waiting for the roads to clear.

If they don’t, the roads will not be safe for us to go outside.”

In the southern city of Chennai, about 300 people were stranded in their homes due to the snow, according to a report in the Indian Express.

“The power was cut off for hours.

The city has been hit by heavy snowfall since Thursday,” a government spokesperson told the newspaper.”

The city is facing severe power outages and flooding, which is also affecting roads.

The government said the power was restored to the affected areas at about 6pm on Friday.

In Bihar, some parts were also experiencing light snow and heavy rain.

In the state of Uttar Pradesh, parts in West Bengal, Bihar, Andhra and West Bengal saw heavy snow.

The weather is expected to continue to deteriorate in the coming days.
