The Snow Sport Industry Association (SSEIA) has recorded its first year of growth and is now worth $16.4 billion.SSEA CEO Mark McAllister said in a statement that the association had witnessed a 30% increase in the number of registered members in the past 12 months.
“Our industry has been hit by a huge influx of new snow sport businesses, and this growth has been particularly strong for the snow sport industry,” he said.
“This is an industry which has been in growth mode for some time, and now has the potential to be the fastest growing sector of the Australian snow sport economy.”
While we remain committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for all those interested in participating in the sport, we have seen a significant rise in the interest of snow sport operators and their partners.””
This has created a number of new businesses, including our Snow Sports Development Centre and the Snow Sport Centre, that have increased their business opportunities.
“The Snow Sport Industries Association (the SSEIA), a not-for-profit organisation representing the snow sports industry in Australia, is the only registered trade association in the industry.”

The SSEAA has grown to almost 3,000 members and provides services to more than 5,000 businesses in all sectors, including ice hockey, snowboard, snowmobiling, snowboarding, skiing, ice fishing, snowshoeing, snowmobile and watercraft.”
