It will air on the BBC World Service from 5pm on Monday 27 January.
The show will be hosted by Paul Taylor, who will also feature on the Snowball Live podcast.
The BBC will also broadcast a special programme of interviews with sports stars and athletes from across the UK, to coincide with the show.
It will be the first time BBC Scotland has broadcast the Snowballs in this format, the broadcaster said.
The Snowball will be produced by BBC Worldwide in association with Ice Cream and a brand new snow-making venture from Ice Cream UK.
It is to be hosted and produced by Paul Gallagher and Nick MacDorman and produced for BBC Scotland by Ian Stobart, the former chief of production at BBC Worldwide.
“This is a hugely exciting time for Snowball,” said Mark Thomas, BBC Worldwide general manager.
“The BBC’s unique brand of quality and the expertise of its talent will be needed to deliver a quality show, the kind of content that can only be delivered by BBC Scotland.”
The BBC will be bringing its signature storytelling to the Snowboarders event on the Scottish Snow Sport calendar.
This will be filmed at the BBC Snowboarding Centre and will be aired live on BBC Scotland’s Snowball site on Tuesday 27 January at 7pm.
The event is set to take place on Saturday 24 January.
